It is through our local football associations, their players, families and the wider community that we will continue to engage to build a world class club that makes the region proud.

Football South Coast (FSC) reaches north to Helensburgh, south to Kiama, and west to the Southern Highlands. FSC was established in 2008 as a unification of all football associations and governing bodies in the area. FSC also boasts a huge number of professional players: since the 1950s, there have been 55 current and ex-Socceroos that began their football careers in the Illawarra.

Established in 1924, the St. George Football Association (SGFA) is the local governing body of football and is a member of Football NSW. SGFA is responsible for the overall management and promotion of football in St George and provides a vast array of competitions and programs for the development of players, coaches and referees.   SGFA is a community based organisation representing 23 member Clubs and almost 10,000 registered participants across the Georges River (Hurstville, Kogarah) and Bayside (Rockdale) Local Government Areas (LGAs).

The Sutherland Shire Football Association (SSFA) spans the breadth of the Sutherland Shire with 26 member clubs and some 17,500 registered players. The SSFA plays at 38 venues across the Shire and the club boasts a diverse and inclusive football community including Sutherland Titans FC which is a club for special needs players, participating in the Football 4 All program hosted by Football NSW.

Southern Expansion has been meeting with our local football community and will continue to engage with them over the coming months as the bid progresses.
